My wife surprised me with one hell of an awesome birthday gift this year. Two nights at the Palmer House Hotel and tickets to Hamilton. This hotel, I just can’t even. It is incredible. I know what she paid and she got one hell of a deal.
The history of this place is pretty great. Look it up if you’re interested. Many historical figures have stayed here.
I’m really looking forward to Hamilton as well. We saw it last year in Cincinnati and I’ve been dying to see it again.

Nice! My favorite hotel that I’ve been to is the Mission Inn in Riverside California

Sadly you can no longer drink a pina colada at Trader Vic’s there.

That sounds pretty good. The bar poured me a VERY generous amount of Makers Mark though. So no complaints in that department.

That place is GORGEOUS! I am speaking from experience, as I’ve popped in there for a drink and dessert before.
The reason you go there for dessert is for their chocolate brownie. They are credited with originating the concept, and I highly recommend getting one before you leave.

Love that lobby
, stayed there for a conference a some years back: “shoot boss, we’re booking late and this is the only suggested conference hotel with rooms left, oh well”
